About Us

Orthodontics (also known as dentofacial orthopedics) is a specialized area of dentistry involved in the diagnosis, management and treatment of dental & facial issues. Orthodontic treatment straightens your teeth, and corrects a misaligned bite & jaw structure. Your bite, function and appearance of your smile are improved.

An orthodontist starts as a general dentist with knowledge of the full scope of dentistry. The orthodontist then specializes in orthodontics, an area of dentistry dealing with the diagnosis/treatment of dental and facial irregularities. The orthodontist must have completed this additional 2-3 academic years of training at an accredited university and passed the orthodontic specialty certification in Canada.
