Braces for Kids
There is no exact age when children can start orthodontic treatment but the Canadian Association of Orthodontists recommends a visit at approximately age 7. At this age, an orthodontist can diagnose problems earlier and advise for early treatment. This allows the orthodontist to correct and guide your child’s jaw, and manage space for crowding teeth. Earlier treatment can correct thumb-sucking and minimize more serious interventions in the future. Contact us to discuss treatment options for your child/teen.
